Metro makes changes to its schedules every six months. They present this information at their service council meetings before posting it to the public notice website. I needed this information before the site was updated, so I compiled it myself.

Service Changes - June 7th

Metro Rail

  • A Line schedules have been revised to improve on-time
    performance and provide dedicated time for cleaning
    and operator relief at Union Station.

  • The B/D Lines schedule was updated on May 8, 2026,
    incorporating the D Line extension to Wilshire/La
    Cienega. Minor late-evening adjustments were made.
    Final trips from Wilshire/La Cienega and from Union
    Station will depart one minute later after 9pm.

  • C Line: Last two westbound trips will be extended to
    LAX/Metro Transit Center on weekdays, Saturdays, and
    Sundays to improve access to LAX.

  • K Line: weekday schedules to be adjusted to improve
    on-time performance.

  • Rail maintenance activities will be suspended
    systemwide during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Games. All
    rail lines will operate 10-minute frequency throughout
    the event period, June 12–July 10, 2026.

San Fernando Valley
Route change - Line 162
The southbound stop at Fallbrook Av/Ventura Bl will be relocated to eastbound Ventura Bl/Fallbrook Av due to In N Out construction and future drive thru.

  • Line 51 - Weekday peak frequency adjusted in both directions to 5.5-7.5 minutes up from 5 minutes in keeping with the NextGen recommended all-day frequency of 7.5 minutes on weekdays. Long line and short line pattern remains the same.

South Bay

Westside/Central

Route Changes

Due to a new protected bike lane in downtown Santa Monica, Line 4 westbound only will have the following change:

  • 4th St instead of 6th St between Santa Monica Bl and Broadway. No existing stops are affected.

  • Regular route to Santa Monica Bl and Lincoln Bl, then continue via Santa Monica Bl, L-4th St, R- Broadway and regular route.
